This Rolex GMT-Master—a artifactual example, 1.4 million serial—was acquired through a close friend, from the original owner in California. The dial is in 95% condition, as the tritium lume is unblemished and rises high above the dial. The original gloss surface is intact and free of any notable flaws or damage, with a fraction of a millimeter mark on the gloss between 6:00 and the hand set; nonetheless, this is one of the premium gilt dials we have come across in a very long time. The 39mm steel case is remarkably unpolished with thick lugs and prominent bevels; strikingly, notice how the left side of the case is somewhat broader than the right, as seen on previous unpolished sports models, the lugs were not always cut so symmetrically at the Rolex factory. This watch is accompanied by the original rivet Oyster bracelet, clasp stamped 65, indicating 1965, which is in original condition like the entirety of the watch. This watch is not serviced and unrestored intentionally to maintain its DNA-heavy condition. A video has been attached as photos cannot adequately represent the quality.
