The iconic “mark one” Rolex Daytona reference 6265 is my favorite steel Daytona. The most prominent feature of a mk.1 Daytona is its robust pushers, nicknamed “millerighe pushers.” The silver dial is in meticulous condition with attractive subdials that have aged from black to slate; the tritium lume plots are also in good condition and remain untouched. The case is thick and has been previously polished. Again, the most distinctive facet of this example are the original and unpolished mk.1 pushers. This is fantastic watch for a very serious collector who prefers a rarer and subdued alternative to the big red Daytona.
