Jaeger-LeCoultre Shines at the Oscars
Actor Jeremy Renner sported his JLC Master Ultra-Thin 41 at the Oscars this week. Just the day prior to the event, he was also seen wearing his eye-opening Duometre a Quantieme Lunaire.
The slim, and sleek, Master Ultra-Thin 41 is quite comfortable on the wrist and aesthetically pleasing, but subtle, as it is only 7.4 millimeters thick. The watch’s JLC 896 automatic movement beats at a rate of 28,000 vibrations per hour, ensuring superior accuracy. The masterpiece (yeah, it kind of deserves that title) is cased in 18 karat pink gold, or stainless steel, if you want it to go under the radar. The stainless steel version features a sunray-brushed silver dial and the gold features a more classic, eggshell-toned dial.
Jeremy’s other watch, which in my opinion is for the true horology afficionado, is something The Watch Adviser already saw at SIHH this year. Jaeger says that this watch is, “A true masterpiece of micromechanics.” This is a fact not an opinion. The watch’s movement runs using a new interpretation of the revolutionary “Dual Wing” concept, basically a double power reserve. The first “Wing” is devoted to precise time measurement while the other “Wing” is the brain of the complications.
